How Cards Are Valued
Each card from 2 to 10 is worth its number. J, Q and K are worth 10. An Ace is worth either 1 or 11.
Good decisions matter in blackjack. Learn the rules and the basics first, then join a live or digital table.

A king and an ace lying on a blackjack table
You aim to have a hand nearer to 21 than the dealer's without going over. In blackjack, unlike many casino games, your choices to hit, stand, double or split have a real effect on the house edge.
Each card from 2 to 10 is worth its number. J, Q and K are worth 10. An Ace is worth either 1 or 11.
Both you and the dealer receive two cards, and one of the dealer's cards is shown.
Choose hit to receive another card or stand to keep your current total.
If your total goes above 21, you lose the hand regardless of the dealer's result.
When your first two cards are an Ace and a card worth 10, you have 'blackjack', which normally pays 3:2.
You can double your bet and take exactly one more card, or split a pair so that it becomes two hands.
The rules shown are standard. Actual rules and payouts can vary by table and provider, so please check the information panel for each game.
This is a simplified guide for a common multi-deck game in which the dealer stands on soft 17. H means Hit, S means Stand, D means Double (hit if doubling is not permitted) and P means Split.

Blackjack developed from older European card games, including 'vingt-et-un' (twenty-one), and became a standard casino game in many countries. Today it is played on phones as well as in casinos.
Because players make choices, following basic strategy closely keeps the house edge lower than in many other casino games. The actual figure depends on each table's rules.
Live blackjack has real dealers and a social atmosphere. Digital blackjack is quicker and useful for practice. Each follows the rules displayed at the table.
Players most often go wrong by taking insurance, standing on soft 17 when they should hit, splitting 10s, or raising bets after a loss.
You can deposit using accepted payment methods (e.g. local e-wallets, online banking). Withdrawals are normally completed within typical withdrawal processing time.
It depends on both. The cards are random, but your decisions affect results over time. Basic strategy is helpful, but no method can guarantee winning.
